Preview of an upcoming NAS creepypasta, "Never Post on r/saltierthankrayt":

My name is Tate Hroons. I am an avid geek whose enjoys comics, video games, and D&D. I am also critical of the current trend of wokeness in my hobbies, and I watch YouTubers who I agree with on the issue, such as Geeks + Gamers, Nerdrotic, The Critical Drinker, Despot of Antrim, and Synthetic Man.
Due to my disappointment with the latest Wolverine game, I went on Reddit to search for people who share my opinions. The first post that came up was from a subreddit I never even heard of. It was r/saltierthankrayt. The name made it sound like a Star Wars related subreddit, but for whatever reason, it allows posts that have nothing to do with Star Wars. Its icon also had a rainbow flag, which made me a little suspicious.
The post was a screenshot of someone trashing on Wolverine for being written by soyboys working for Sweet Baby Inc. The poster was clearly not amused by it, going as far as to claim that it’s “homophobia”. Most of the commenters underneath scolded the OP for being a “chud” and a “pissbaby reactionary”. In that moment, I realized that I stumbled upon a leftist freakshow echo chamber. Just to kick the hornet’s nest for a laugh, I downvoted the post and commented, “OP is a gigachad tho”. Little did I know that would be a huge mistake.
Not long after, my comment started receiving a massive amount of downvotes. Its vote count was down to -36. All the replies were from angry leftists calling me a “chud”, “bigot”, and “incel”, and some of them told me to “go back to 4chan”, even though I never went on 4chan. After chuckling at the replies, I put my PC to sleep and went on my Switch 2 to play Elden Ring for a while.
About 30 minutes later, I heard my phone start to ring. I picked it up and saw that a random unidentified number was trying to call me. I immediately hung up, not wanting to take any risks from answering the mysterious caller, and went on with my game. Not long after, my phone started to ring again, being called by the same unknown number as before. I declined the call once again. Then, a few seconds later, it rang a third time. I reluctantly answered the phone call. I asked the caller, “What do you want?”, and what followed was horrifying. A deep growling voice replied to me, “Your skin”. Freaked out by this, I instantly hung up, paused my game, and urgently went on my PC to find out what was going on.
After powering on my PC and logging onto Reddit, I noticed that my comment received a whopping -2500 downvotes, which majorly impacted my account’s karma. What I also noticed was far more disturbing. It had tons of replies containing my personal information, including my real name, address, and phone number, as well as my face. The replies also mocked my appearance, and some even posted edits of me, including one where I’m photoshopped to resemble Charlie Kirk. To top it all off, my chats became flooded with death threats from the sub’s users. At this point, it wasn’t funny anymore. I knew that my life was in danger and I needed to protect both myself and my home in case of a burglary. So, I locked my front door and went up into the attic to hide, bringing with me my phone, my Switch 2, and a handful of bags of Doritos and bottles of G-Fuel for survival.
