That wasn't law, the Talmud is not rules, it was simply written to distinguish what Rabbi can do and cannot, and also for daily life of a jew. No stoning or forced religious rape has ever been done by a jew since talmud was made in 5th century.

@Warrior-Z:
Talmud is an unofficial set of rules that describes what happens in a Synagogue and how to navigate the world as a jew. It does not have official, God - given laws that are mandatory
Laws and rules are different

No, it's literally the consensus of Judaism along with Jewish scholars that the Talmud is CENTRAL
>As mentioned, the Talmud contains halakha - this is incredibly important for Jews to live according to the Torah, the Word of God. To quote Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz, who devoted almost half a century to translating the Talmud, "[The Talmud is] a central pillar for understanding anything about Judaism"[7].
You saying it's unofficial is completely baseless, you can go ahead and give the justification for that, as it's legit one of the oldest texts of Judaism.
>Orthodox Jews regard the Talmud as authoritative and look to it for guidance more than to the Hebrew Bible. In many ways, the Talmud provides
You're absolutely stupid.

@Demonic_Passion: I declare satanists as honorary Jews
@Warrior-Z:
Yes, Orthodox Jews respect the Talmud and actually consider it practically in equal stance to the Torah. I'm not an Orthodox Jew though. So you probably got a different viewpoint from a different denomination.
>Its one of the oldest texts in Judaism
Not even close. The first Talmud was created in the 3rd century, 200 years after the rightful crucifixion of Yeshua.
By comparison the first found text of the Old Testament is from the 4th century BCE

You're not a Jew at all, and most EVEN traditional Jews, INCLUDING those in Orthodox would consider the Talmud to be highly authoritative and reliable. It's seen as the foundation of Jewish law (Halakha) and a crucial source for understanding the Torah. For the other denominations, they DO see the Talmud as highly authoritative but may interpret it more flexibly, as you said.
>Not even close. The first Talmud was blah blah blah

@Warrior-Z:
Yes, I generally agree, the Talmud does have an important understanding of the Torah, and it is made by a source of authority, but it's just not total law, like how christcucks would call the "Old Testament" aka the Torah (real name)
And the Talmud still isn't even one of the oldest rec0rds of Jewish law and philosophy, it came later after Yeshua as more of a moral code than an absolute law
Again, I'm not an Orthodox
