@Chud:
actually fucking kill yourself

The Roman alphabet comes from the Etruscan alphabet. Both are in Italy. The Etruscan alphabet came from ancient cavemen Mesopotamians who migrated to Italy. Egypt never subjugated Rome, Rome actually conquered and held Egypt for hundreds of years.

Latin script is the basis for the largest number of alphabets of any writing system, and is the most widely adopted writing system in the world. Latin script is used as the standard method of writing the languages of Western and Central Europe, large parts of Asia, most of sub-Saharan Africa, the Americas, and Oceania, as well as many languages in other parts of the world. That's hundreds of languages written using the Roman alphabet.

Italian, French, Spanish, Romanian, Portuguese, Catalan, Romansh, all came from Latin.
Languages like English, German, Albanian, Dutch, Norwegian, Danish and Swedish have hundreds to thousands of Latin words and Latin influence in their languages.
