why are people afraid of gmo anyway? it's not profitable to breed mutants or supersoldiers for world conquest via this technology anyway
on the other hand, it's much more profitable to modify dna of crops to give more nutritious fruit, be less attractive for insects/parasites and/or be more tolerant to harsh climate with all that cold/heat/drought/moisture/whatever than to keep the agriculture going the old way

Chud4: @Chud: one problem is that gmos are patented/copyrighted, so you can only get seeds from monsato, plus if gmo crops mix with your heritage crops by being near each other due to natural pollinators, monsato and co will sue you for not paying for "pirating" the gmo enhancements
