But this was just about showcasing how you can get overwhelmed by your emotions when someone questions your life choices and you don't really have anything to get back at them without "degrading" yourself e.g. "I'm sorry I don't use it because I don't understand it" (albeit they could say "I don't have the time for this" and this would be fine too but because some of them are conspiracy theorists, saying that when the "pedo-satanist elite" is trying to suppress their freedom with mass surveillance would make them feel like they are not living up to their ideals, generating a cognitive dissonance). An important point here too is that they go on about how free (as in freedom) software is not viable in the current state of things but they don't object that free software is more ethical: this is bad faith because they could blame the status quo instead but they don't because what they're looking for are excuses to justify the contradictions between what they do and what they say. This isn't just about Linux either, I just put it here because it's the most popular free software and I was looking for a tag that would fit nicely.

it has a better desktop experience, it's faster, less bloated, has no ads, is more secure and private, looks better and is more productive
I use it by default on laptop
the issues:
photoshop absence (need wine), the game incompatibilities (devs could resolve them with minimal effort), linux abnormalities (like middle click copy instead of auto scroll and wayland forced vysnc) and finally dependency hell (this is the worst one and the most damaging to linux adoption)
also, don't complain about command line but not about registry
