Chud³: I don't know which one of these words is banned, so I'm going to split my wall of text into multiple posts to make hunting it down easier. Blame the 'ru for banning bizarre words and having no indication what they are.

Nobody ever believes me when I tell them, but I literally came to 4chan within a week of it starting and never left. The culture has gradually morphed through many phases over a long period of time. The top panel looks pretty funny to me, because deep down inside I still look at shows like K-on (which didn't come out until 4chan had already had a couple of 'newflamboyant person summers') as newflamboyant persongy or 'not oldflamboyant persongy' in some way.

Chud⁴⁽³⁾: @Chud: From my perspective this divide seems hilarious and artificial, because while some people like to pretend that 4chan's original culture worshipped cute and beautiful things (like a heckin' based righterino) instead of ugliness and irony (like LEFTISTS obviously!!!) the reality is that even the very earliest memes we had were shocking, profane, crass, or ugly in some way. Some people focus on Yotsuba (because she's cute) but she was more of a mascot character and Cockmongler, Happy niagara, Teh Rei etc. were every bit as much an 'embrace of ugliness and irony' as soyjaks are, just interpreted and expressed in the language of 2003.

Smug loli reaction images were of course a thing for a long time but the intention there was (characteristically) to provoke others rather than to pretend you look like a moeblob.

The top panel here represents an appropriation of oldflamboyant person culture in order to bolster trans validity. The same people who were 'ironically' posting 'as' these anime girls back when they were little eggs (uwu) have now shed the irony and embraced the aesthetic. Why? Because it represents an escape from the reality of Never Being A Woman. Being able to be a perpetually young anime girl is the most common trans fantasy ever and most of the ones who ack do so because of the growing dissonance between their ageing, realistic bodies and the impossible cartoons they idolize.

'Jak haters enjoy casting jakkers as ignorant of the nausea and repetition that their creations invoke in normies and oldugly persons alike, but the reality is that deliberately beating a dead horse for as long as possible to harvest seethe is as old as All Your Base, and absolutely nobody has ever been ignorant of the irritation it causes - that's just a false position attribed to provocateurs to try and dismiss their intelligence.
