Thread is dedicated to my statements on video editing programs, 3d programs, etc. I'd like to share some of my knowledge on them, maybe help people get to use them more as I learned from a lot of tutorials. I don't know everything though and if other users have their inputs on related video editing programs be sure to share.
Programs I have used/ am used to
(from most to least)
VSDC Video Editor
Blender
Davinci Resolve
Toon Boom Harmony
AVIUtl
Adobe Animate
Adobe After Effects
Adobe Premiere
(I don't typically use Adobe Products)

My major and most used program that I use for most of my videos is the VSDC Video Editor program.
VSDC, I would personally never recommend someone using it, though I use it because I unfortunately mastered everything it has to offer.
It is a pretty solid program in terms of effects and dynamics, but there are huge issues with it which often just make rendering look bad. (usually image issues).
It has a very easy to use layering system, *where effects/images can be freely stacked like a nesting doll*, which personally keeps me using it because of how organized you can make it.
It is marketed as a general use editor, for shitty slideshows, but they have strangely advanced and unique features within the program (such as being able to load a generative ai model within images).
VSDC is a payed program however, and it is a subscription. Though the subscription is yearly and its only like 30 dollars I believe.
If you are trying to start out though you *could* try this out and see if you like it. I would say that its a very solid general use editor.
I would not recommend ONLY using this program to make a project though, every editor has its pros and cons.

its free and open source, you can do most effects you might want and it even has decent motion tracking

its decent but the dudes who bought it from Sony (Magix) didn't do shit with it for many years, but luckily BorisFX bought it and you can get some BCC Effects and I think some Sapphire effects with the ultimate tier (but the ultimate tier is a subscription sadly)

Lumafusion is a video editor you should try out it’s complex, but it’s not overly complicated like da Vinci. Gives you all the customization you need and then some and it’s easy to use. it cost $40, but you can just pirate it.
