Statsbooru

A thread for Booru stats as they stand since the first day of the year, starting with definitions, a graph, and then averages

Key Trends & Observations

  • Massive Growth Surge: Activity across all metrics remained relatively flat and low during January and February, before exploding significantly starting in late February/early March.

  • All-Time Peak: The overall platform activity reached its maximum spike around mid-March, with PPD surging to nearly 76,000 in a single day.

  • Secondary Volatility: Subsequent large traffic spikes occurred in mid-May and late July (peaking over 62,000 PPD).

  • High User Engagement: Despite lower absolute numbers of Unique Users (~495 daily), user density and activity per person is remarkably high, generating tens of thousands of combined comments and posts per day.

  • Dominant Activity Types: Public interaction is overwhelmingly driven by Comments and Forum Posts, whereas media uploads (Booru Posts) make up a very minor share of total volume.

Are you guys even allowed to see inside DMs without having to go inside the sql? Why isn’t there a section for that in the admin panel? Hasn’t the incident from yesterday taught you guys that maybe there should be some counter measures against spam in the forum and also in DMs?

stagnant site im going to advertise it on /soc/
It's not stagnant due to a lack of new users but rather because the replenishment rate for bans is 1:1

do you know what % of new accounts (those without the legacy badge, for example) contribute more than 100 comments, posts, or both? That would provide insight into retention.
