if a soyjak for example is anti aliased, how can I "restore" it to have a transparent back ground but without anti alisasing marks and without having to retrace the full thing? I'm kinda dumb and I've been trying to mess with color curves on Krita but idk.

Photoshop is being a nigger and crashing on me all the time. I did get it pirated, so could just be a crypto miner.

You could use color profiles in GIMP to limit colors and make the 'jaks aliased automatically

I'm sure all editing softwares have this but I use GIMP

assuming op has gimp but you can just turn off the anti aliasing from the start anyway. i personally dont bother with limiting colours.

I use Ibispaint X. First, make a new layer, then paint bucket over the original with expansion set to 0, then remove the original layer. I usually smooth out the lines when doing this but it doesn't make much of an impact. :informative:

Turn off contiguous paintbucket and select the colour of the aliased part. Paint bucket it with a high enough tolerance to remove the blurriness

adjust the tolerance for the paint bucket tool, it sometimes takes multiple tries to get a decent result
