This makes a whole lot of sense, I never realised it before. I'm transfem and the first ever character I felt that strong connection with was Luz Noceda from the owl house. I knew her escapism into fantasy and feeling like a social outcast, until you find 'your people', all too well. and now, i realise that's partially because I'm trans and wasn't comfortable as myself for a long time.
