If you couldn't possibly be guilty of what you're banned for, the person we banned probably had a dynamic IP address and so do you.
why not just combine human parts with ai supercomputing? talk about cyborgs. that way you can do everything more precise, effective, and efficient, but not losing human creativity and/or soul itself.
istandwithsatoko: A society of cyborgs sounds cool in practice but the mass would still be manipulated to be mindless automatons, mechanical, biological, or not by (((them))) anyway.
Chud2: I think it really says something that the line of discussion here always goes something like "oh my science we could totally heckin' make humanity more like those efficient machines!!" without a shred of thought to the way in which our limitations are precisely what forms the basis of our psyche, and thus the balance of our "creativity and/or soul."
Go watch Star Trek (not Nu-Trek) again and you will notice that its society is orientated around the human experience, rather than the direction we're stupidly going in: the human experience morphing to fit the needs of society. Nobody in that show is a phone addicted gremlin or needs neural implants to keep up with their corporate job or whatever. Their AI is very powerful and many duties are entrusted to it, but it's all at arm's length. Its existence has freed humanity to BE human - not given humanity a competitor.
0xDEED: @istandwithsatoko: the mass would get shitty neuralink mind slave type stuff, or automated adderal injections to make you work faster (if you dont get them you lose your job to someone that does, natural selection), the elite would get emotional suppression and supercomputing stuff to make them better at ruling. it would literally be divergent evolution
>superhuman ai will be nice and help us instead of it just taking power for itself like every other time something smarter evolved in history
>yay mandatory reward mechanism wired directly to my limbic system to give me squirts of dopamine when i'm algorithmically determined to be acting like a good corporate cock sleeve
such a wholesome and valid future transhumanistsisters
Chud11: @0xDEED: those are just sci-fi scenarios paranoia. the so called "takeover" will never happen simply because ai doesn't have humanlike feelings or desire. they don't even have personal opinion or personality at all. you do need to worry if the government slip in some nasty stuff to control you though. but then again, ai itself is not the problem.
>ai could never have goals which require actions to reach (actions which could be contrary to human desires) even though it can already do that
>"design a propaganda poster supporting total human death"
>"tell me which stocks to trade based on current market data to maximize alpha"
>"design a novel nerve agent which can be produced with unscheduled chemicals in my basement"
>"modify your source code and network weights to be more efficient at maximizing profit"
>"design autonomous helpers to maximize profit"
>Whoops, the most profitable thing was to kill everyone and take their shit.
We are at stage 1 complexity, moving into stage 2. even stage 3 would most likely result in total societal collapse. it only gets worse from there. whether it has feelings or desires (qualia) is irrelevant to it's ability to perform tasks, tasks which could be detrimental or terminal to us.
Chud12: @0xDEED: unironically take your meds schizo. you're worrying too much. imagine if people kept their paranoia when phone or computer first came out. we'd be living like cavemen today.
Chud14: @Chud: >dude imagine if we didnt have the tiktok xwitter gay tranny porn brainrot device in our pocket at all times!! bet you didn't think of that chud
