Chud2: Soyence cuck cope. All great scientists are religious. All scientific inventions which had significant impact for humanity are invented by religious scientists. Every atheist scientists are beyond cringe like Newton (dude died a virgin lmao). Science never meant to turn you into smartass kid who argue with the teacher after class (cringe). Even Einstein himself said atheism is cringe. If anything, science (not soyence) were meant to turn you into even more religious after you witness God's greatness of the world which is beyond human comprehension.
"The first gulp from the glass of natural sciences will turn you into an atheist, but at the bottom of the glass God is waiting for you". - Werner Heisenberg, the winner of the 1932 Nobel Prize in Physics for the creation of quantum mechanics.
Chud5: @Chud: Newton was definitely not an atheist. I've been to his house. He was so obsessed with reconciling Christian imagery with his findings that there is still idle scrawl on the window ledges about it that you can go and see right now. He had pretty firm religious convictions. While clearly a great scientist in his own right, he WAS also a plagiarist, and just a dick in general.
Also like the overwhelming majority of posts on this topic on the whole internet, you are discussing "God" while failing to realize that two very different beings are both referred to by that name. The one that spins transparent and easily dismissed illusions (the one atheists fight against) and the one that is inevitably realized on any kind of inner journey. Ask yourself why Oppenheimer functionally abandoned Judaism, and became obsessed with Hinduism.
istandwithsatoko: @Chud: a dick rightfully
he did a lot more shit than merely what the current century attributes him for (ie fighting against inflation)
Chud13: @istandwithsatoko: Nah I'm sorry, some of the shit he did in his life was pretty stupid and petty, like ruining that one guy's career (Hook? Cook? It's late) over a grudge, which only got some good science buried and set everything back.
The guy did some good things, sure. But his behaviour is unjustified.
