i think they don't really want to bring it up. it's just has bceome a "requirement" for movies in this age to even get a permission to be aired. for instance a movie must feature at least 1 poc, bring up 1 topic about mental illness, etc. you can't even get nominated for oscar if you don't fulfill any or those criteria. by the way, joker 2019 fulfills every one of those requirements, putting aside joaquin's great performance.

@Chud: true you are not allowed to have masculine heroes or damsels in distress anymore unless A) they are a POC, B) they are romantically involved with a POC, or C) they say something in the movie which confirms their association with shitlib shit. Even in children’s movies this is true, like in mario the video game peach is a very feminine damsel in distress but in the movie they made her out to be some sort of badass.
