The Cacacaust, also known as 1/28 was a set of events that began on January 28th 2026, which included the banning of all under-18 users, and Quote announcing when he will just shut it down. Quote has stated that he does not care for the PPH loss the site took. The main reason behind the Cacacaust was actually part of a larger plan to "make the HTSMs go extinct", it had been planned by Limeade months prior.[it just is, ok?] The catalyst of this event was during the colorgem IRC spamming. 'teens prior to 1/28 had claimed that there was too much EPI on the log, and instead of banning bait, Quote decided to protect cacas from EPI by banning them off the site entirely. Although it was expected that most cacas wouldn't be banned since they could instead lie about their age, the new rule made it impossible for them to attempt to use their age as an excuse to try and force the site to cater to them. Another reason for the rule change was the upcoming Boorum and Mustard's desire to stop any grooming dramas such as those that happened on the Schlog from ever taking place again, as well as to stop users from trying to get others banned by claiming that they are underage whenever someone else makes a mocking sexual depiction of them.
