@PuertoRican: some of my family members do that for some reason it's stupid
been centuries since Spain colonized us anyways im not sure why they just don't let it go
@MenstrualCykill: Haven't had any of my family members turn to pagan native gods, also, the natives are our ancestors, but the Spanish, Portuguese, French, etc are also our ancestors and we inherited a lot more of our culture from them, so I don't see the point in it either way
@MenstrualCykill: I don't disdain my indigenous side but I rarely think about it because I don't really know what we inherited culturally from it other than maracas and musical style
@MenstrualCykill: Well yeah of course, more common than syncretism with native pagan beliefs here is syncretism with West African pagan beliefs, most people don't do it, it's less than 10%, but it's a decent amount and it's kind of concerning. I am entirely unfamiliar with these pagan Yoruba beliefs, and I am pretty sure I have no relation to the Yoruba at all, but I know they are present
This Boinayel I've never heard of anyone nowadays worshipping but I imagine some schizo probably does
It don't matter that much
been centuries since Spain colonized us anyways im not sure why they just don't let it go
Fuck the pagan religions though, that's the only thing I'll disdain
