y'know pretty well those 2 devs and toby act very similar, they create similar products, have similar fanbases, have an identical approach to story, dialog and character design, have some obsession with japan but didn't include anything that eastern on their games, organize similar events, the whole 9-yards, the game design is near-identical and these games depend on the personality of the one creating them, therefore we can deduce they have a similar, if not samey personality, especially in those very important details of "what a personality is" that matter, like degeneracy
oh and also, toby likes shmups, and those 2 devs made a shmup, just adding more salt to injury
