@Aztechicano: I mean yeah it's totally your right, but let's not forget that mestizos are not wanted in Spain and they got indio blood, so I don't think it'd be fair to them
@PRIZINS: what do you think one of the native ancestors have done to end up fucking up his descendant like this? You don't think he did THAT with like a dog or something right?
@Morostein: Yes, race-mixed mestizos from Latin America were not allowed to became spanish citizens from the peninsula for their foreign blood, and even if they were from high-class mestizos they were still not even considered as ''spaniards''
@Spanish_Chud: Yeah mestizos were considered superior to indios in the caste system and didn't have to pay tribute but were still not considered Spanish
As a Spaniard do you feel like mestizos are your brothers or not? Since you share a culture, a language and also somes genes with them
@Morostein: That's true, but we're still ranked lower from criollos and peninsulars, and most latino mestizos I know, they act culturally different, speak different accent, have a slightly different sense of humor therefore I don't really identify with them as brothers, however iirc I have distant ancestors from Cuba on my father's side from the 19th century, but they were mostly white criollos with some amerindian taino ancestry, however that's practically irrelevant
@Spanish_Chud: Interesting
From what I've heard criollos are still running LATAM to this day, not like they used to after the indepedence but they're still the elite there
@Morostein: true, most of the presidents from latin america are descendants of spaniards who settled there (criollos) or other european immigrants who came from the 19th century (Italians, Germans, French), for exemple the majority of presidents from the southern cone (Argentina, Uruguay, Chile) and even Mexico have been white people, the same for Brazil I guess
@Spanish_Chud: I've always wondered why all the rich/powerful Latinos never looked like the average Latino (I've met quite a lot of them) until I learned about the criollos
Even Pablo Escobar was criollo kek
@Morostein: Even majority non-white countries like Cuba, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Colombia and even Bolivia had mostly criollo presidents (Evo being the first and only native president of their country)
thanks op
nobody cares, muttstizo
