She incited her subscribers to create false accounts on homosexual dating applications and to reveal the identity of those who are there on social networks. The act has been questioned, insofar as Sofia Talouni is herself from the LGBTQ community. Almost three-fifths of women in Czechia have been the target of some form of sexual violence during their life, according to a research on the incidence and impact of sexual violence by the NGO proFem. One-fifth of women have experienced rape under the proposed legal definition now being debated by MPs, which is sex without consent.
According to the research, which was presented to the public on Thursday, only six percent of those who have been raped have reported it to the police. The survey also suggests that the annual costs of treating the consequences of sexual violence is approximately CZK 2.3 billion.

A Pakistani court sentenced a Czech national to over eight years in prison, more than a year after her being arrested in the eastern city of Lahore for allegedly trafficking eight and a half kilograms of heroin.
Tereza Hluskova, a 22-year-old model, has denied the charges and announced plans to file an appeal against the decision following the court's decision on Wednesday.

Sixteen Czech citizens were used as slave labor in a British branch of McDonalds and a bread factory, the BBC has uncovered.
A human trafficking gang forced the individuals to work either at the fast-food restaurant or the factory, which provided products to major supermarkets, for more than four years.
Six members of a Czech family-operated human trafficking network have now been convicted after two criminal trials, which were delayed due to the Covid pandemic. Reporting restrictions had previously limited coverage of the case.

The case of little Ondrej, discovered by chance in a broom cupboard in early May, shocked many people in this country as the raw facts are disturbing. An eight-year-old boy with a hearing disability is systematically abused by his mother - herself a student of child psychology who was planning to work with disabled children. The case is discovered by chance when footage from a neighbour's digital babyminder shows Ondrej tied up naked in a cupboard under the stairs, being force fed his own vomit by his mother.

Some 22 percent of children in the Czech Republic are victims or witnesses of domestic violence, yet there is neither a guaranteed procedure nor a sensitive way of helping these children, and there is a lack of legislative support, according to Petra Wunschova, director of the Locika Centre.
Wunschova spoke Wednesday at the opening of the conference Help for Child Victims under One Roof at the Chamber of Deputies. "A large number of children who ask for help end up in institutional care, for example, or these children do not get help at all and end up in psychiatric hospitals or educational institutions," she said.

Detectives in Prague have arrested a Czech citizen who is one of the largest online distributors of CP in the world. The individual in question was wanted by the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the EU police agency Europol. He is currently in custody and faces up to eight years in prison if convicted for the sexual abuse of children and the distribution of CP on the so-called 'dark web'. According to police spokeswoman Kristyna Zelinkova, the FBI had been recording information about the elderly man and his activities for almost ten years, and he was arrested as part of an international organisation coordinated by Europol.
