i was not expecting the crappy blossom character design i made a year back when i had no electricity for a month to become this high quality gemerald, anyways i think people deserve an explanation as to why blossom looks like that outside of a24 kino soypasta cliches
in universe, a namefag's avatar slowly gets more deformed and hideous the more they dissociate and apathize from reality. This usually starts in the eyes (explaining blossom's complete lack of eyes) as they are described as "the gateway to the soul" in most cultures. Think the undertroon LOVE deformation theory but with da sherdee instead.
The process can be reversed but some dead giveaways will permanently remain, examples being pupils that are stoic and empty. Trauma never leaves your psyche, you just come to peace with it.
