The Medieval art in the right pane comes from Alfonso X's Cantigas de Santa Maria and within context it is depicting some Moors pleading a Moroccan king, who was at war with Abu-Yusuf who had more power than him, to ally with the Christians and take up the flag of the Virgin Mary that the Christians carried, and to have the Christians lead with spears and crosses with them to war against Abu-Yusuf in the Um-Rabi river. The end of the text describes that in this battle at Um-Rabi, the Moroccan king's Moors and Christians did as described and Abu-Yusuf was defeated by the Moroccan king and the Christians in spite of how much power he carried.
