We gather with light hearts to remember jimbo-a man who lives simply and leaves a lasting mark on those who truly see him. Short in stature and chubby in frame, he resides in a modest hut, lives on his own terms, and walks through life with a spirit that is raw, real, and entirely his.
Of African descent, jimbo cherishes his roots and finds deep joy in the bold, comforting flavors of Afro cuisine. Meals with him are more than sustenance-they are expressions of love, memory, and identity. Food is one of the many ways he keeps his culture close, and he shares it generously.
He is a person of contradictions-gentle but blunt, quiet but unforgettable. He bares a scent that many find hard to ignore-earthy, unapologetic, and part of the unfiltered truth he carries in every aspect of his life. jimbo does not pretend. He is who he is.
Joyfully, jimbo lives through heart surgery. We do not pretend to understand the weight he carries, nor the pain that follows him to this moment. But we do know this: he matters. His life, in all its complexity, is worthy of love, compassion, and remembrance.
Let us not define him by how he returns to us, but remember him for how he lives-with honesty, depth, cultural pride, and a stubborn refusal to be anyone but himself. May he carry forward his life not only with sorrow, but with tenderness and truth. Welcome back jimbo, we are so back.
