Haven't read it for 20 years, but I don't recall anyone in the story worshipping greedy people or specialing that elves, fairies and magic are DEMONS!!!!!!
Chud3: Whatever the truth, Tolkien's works couldn't have existed without there having been paganism. And the Bible's not all bad, since it says women must stay in the kitchen and all flamboyant persons must die.
