_account: The cartridges themselves are too close both in coefficient and range to argue one is better than the other, but having a 5.56 case means it'll fit in any STANAG mag which are better (in my opinion) and cheaper and way more plentiful

_account: @Chud: supersonic 300blk still has it's applications though, if you have a real short barrel that 5.56 will slow so much that the heavier 308 bullet (still going slower) will have more impact energy
