the West instills these ideas onto the people in countries whose governments have anti western stances so that they begin fighting in endless civil wars that will bring nothing but destruction and instability towards their homelands, don't believe me?, look at the so-called "Free countries" of Syria and Libya and compare the state of these countries before and after their respective revolutions
