Many nations today are marked by single events. Modern America was changed overnight by 9/11, Russia by the collapse of the Soviet Union, or the United Kingdom by Brexit, but possibly the most famous example of this trend is modern Germany and the influence of the Holocaust that it has on the Federal Republic.

Germany today will repeat a single phrase, one everyone who has studied German politics since the end of the Second World War has heard- "Never Again." Germany today sees itself as above such things, seeing itself as having learnt from its mistakes, yet it not only has not, but it has taken the complete opposite approach, that being that money alone can counter genocidal actions.

The same politicians in Berlin who lecture Trump for his actions in Iran, Putin for his actions in Ukraine, will gladly shake the hands of Chinese diplomats and speak of how happy they are to work with them to create a "better future", all the while being fully aware of death camps in Xinjiang, they will stay silent on the genocide of innocent Rohingya in Myanmar, or taking the bold step of issuing a "condemnation", which I'm sure we all can agree will save all the children and elderly people being tortured, raped and killed for the high crime of being the wrong ethnicity. They will happily tolerate gold harvested from the blood-soaked fields of Sudan, seeing it as "critical for economic sovereignty". Gold harvested from the blood of the innocent, where have I heard this before?

Germany, alongside all other nations have the international Responsibility to Protect agreed upon in a 2005 meeting in the United Nations, that being the duty to stop war crimes, crimes against humanity, genocide and ethnic cleansing. Regardless of your view on the United Nations, this is a law most of us wouldn't find too unreasonable. Yet Germany, amongst one of the countries that should be concerned about Genocide, simply turns a blind eye from its obligations. The German state must not simply believe that giving some Jews (not Roma, Russians or homosexuals, of course) compensation means that they are completely free of responsibility for the Holocaust.

Germany today must not simply issue condemnations for these crimes, but protect the innocent, for the nations honour stands on the line. Germany today professes the same liberal sob-story that many nations have, that such crimes are "unfortunate" and issuing condemnations that do about as much to stop these war crimes as cardboard does to stop a fire-hose. Germany, once an honourable state with as much influence on the global stage as the modern United States does, culturally, diplomatically, economically and politically, as been left as a bureaucratic, pathetic, hypocritical territory that can only bow before its history, while claiming to be above it.

TL;DR Germany needs to intervene in Sudan, and I need to stop having autistic rants on the boorum.

Germans are the Gods of Engineering and the devils of Chemistry, but for some reason they are the Niggers of Politics.
They keep losing no matter how they try despite outmatching their enemies.
