rome did have a strong presence culturaly in north africa and there were romance languages spoken there but by the time the roman empire fell northern africa would be conquered by germanic and local tribes and later taken by the arabs over the decades and centuries and many of the roman culture in the area would be lost, as alt history probably i can think of maybe rome having more success on defeating the niggers on the Nile region (the kingdom of kush) to later expand further in adjacent areas.My personal idea could be that the coasts of North Africa being seen as an extension of Europe, maybe even having some long term ramifications with colonialism and differences between colonies and the fatherlands.Show quoted text
