My personal ideas for alternate history stuff:
1.) What if Tibet stayed Independant?
2.) What if the USSR completely annexed Eastern Europe after WW2?
3.) What if the US conquered Canada during the revolution?
4.) What if Italy never left Libya?
5.) What if the Russian Empire was divided between Communists and Tsarists? (Korea style)
6.) What if Denmark became part of the Eastern Bloc post-WW2?
7.) What if Rome had more of a presence in Africa?
8.) What if the Afghan monarchy never fell?
9.) What if Mexico was entirely annexed by the United States after the US-Mexican war?
10.) What if the Ottomans colonised parts of the Americas?
11.) What if the Panama Canal was never built?
12.) What if Iran joined the Axis?
13.) What if Mecca was bombed after Saudi Arabia joined the Allies?
14.) What if Mongolia joined the Warsaw Pact?
15.) What if America kept Liberia as a colony?
16.) What if Spain / parts of Spain was annexed after the Spanish - American war?
17.) What if America joined the Central Powers?

I thought about this once, I imagine that the UK could get a foothold in the Balkans, either leading to a North-South divide on Europe post-WW2 or the Soviets never joining.
