What would happen if we build a connection (either tunnel or bridge) between Russia and Alaska? Could be great for investing into the less developed regions of both countries, improving relations, and also to encourage more development in transport across the planet.
It's estimated to be about 100 billion USD, not unfeasible when it's Russia and America (also possibly Canada + China partially) funding it, and tolls would likely pay for it.
Security Concerns wouldn't be nuffin because we could just blow it up with a submarine if shit goes down.

too expensive and unstable, it's not worth the trouble and enemy contracts are always iffy even more if it's thing that happens between presidencies with different relations with each other, also both countries would have to build their respective sections in extremely complex and precarious locations. Imagine working in the middle of the russian tundra having to take a unformed shitty snowy road to work, not even to mention the site itself, just a iffy project with everything

If America and Russia ever did rebuild the relationship I could see it being a good investment in the long term, but I see your point about how long it would take to build.
