They've been actually attacking israel using rocket launchers and missles from sinai but most of them failed due to israel's strong defense system. Fun fact: Before they became the Sinai Province, they were called Ansar Bait Al-Maqdis. they were focused on marching into Jerusalem, However, the Egyptian military's heavy border defenses basically said no and started clashing with them.
