Lombardism is defined as Lombard ethnonationalism, or Lombard ethnic nationalism, which contemplate the rational exaltation of the blood, the soil, the spirit of Lombardy.
Lombardy can defined as animated by an ethnic group, precisely because it has whole series of anthropological, historical, cultural and natural aspects that define it, but it can be called a nation, because it is based on a set of homogenous peoples who recognize themselves in the same roots, even if for the sake of fairness it must be said, today such identity is dormant and must be reawakened.
Lombard ethnonationalism therefore it's also based on biological data, precisely because identitarianism, if not ethnic, is scrap paper. I say this, not out of suprematism or racism, it must always be specified, but because in my opinion is right to frame the identity dimensions of Lombardy in as an ethnic framework, as a racial one, and Ethnonationalism is born from this, from the ethnic nerve of a nation, and a form of patriotism that is not merely based on cultural, linguistic and historical elements, but finds its strength properly nature and in what from the Roman nature, the blood and the soil consequentially the spirit that is born from the fertile ecounter between blood and soil.
I defend the Lombardist vision that has always characterized me, I continue to believe that it is the best possible ideology for the fate and the destiny of the Lombard people. Which is not exclusively the people enclose in the regional dimension of the current Lombardy, but it fully concerns the entire Po catchment area, extending then to the Greater Lombardy which is norther area of the Italian Republic, that is, the Cisalpine area.
I really believe that Lombardism it's the ideal, also because either contemplates the Independence demand, unlike independentism which is not necessarily ethnonationalis. Therefore either believe that Lombardism is the most complete, accomplished ideology and also fundamental idea which is especially needed today for a Lombardy whose identity and traditions are today dormant and relegated almost entirely to oblivion.
