I advertised my Aryan_Warrior diss track on the forums a couple days ago and got a 1hr ban for this. (+thread deletion).
What does it mean? Yeah technically the wordsalot 'jak in the thumbnail has massive fake tits but are we really banning for embedding booru thumbs containing any sort of sexual imagery?

A big part of the NSFW rule covers file uploads, because you can do that on the forums compared to the Booru. It's a lot different to police NSFW on the forums than it is on the Booru.
In that case maybe the rule should be applied more specifically to forum uploaded content, embedding any existing booru post shouldn't be an issue as far as illegal shit getting put on the site since that's already going through the anporvool process.

I use the boorum occasionally but the recent changes will definitely make me use it less.
First off why ban reppy spam? It was restricted to general, if you didn't want your thread spammed you just put it in the topical category.
If the issue is that people want a general category which isn't spammable, why not just make one?
And the "Do not post NSFW content" rule is ridiculous as currently enforced, most of the images on soybooru are "Not safe for work" in some capacity. For that matter, why are we concerned with making it "Safe for work"? If the intent is to ban porn (which is still vague and will be enforced at random), why not just say it?
why would anyone use the spammable category. every thread would just be spam it would suck
Speak for yourself, I only ever used general because of the shitflinging nature of it
yeah it's cool that you love spam and spamming but most people don't

NSFW is allowed on the booru because it can be filtered. There's no filter for forum posts yet, so NSFW is banned.

this why I agreed with you about the Poop stuff, I don’t think it should be allowed because you cannot filter it

If you're referring to the actual 1 hour ban that I was talking about, that was out of nowhere and the post is hardly pornographic in nature
how do you not see wordsalot's massive asshole in that image?
