Making da soyart ou algo assim

The film is good, but I think a lot of things were missing. The special effects are solid, the atmosphere of tension is well built, the performances are excellent, and the fact that the movie barely has a soundtrack actually makes it cooler and much more tense.
However, it’s not all perfect. I think the film made a series of mistakes that didn’t meet my expectations while I was watching:
1 – The protagonist’s death
You’re telling me he survives the entire movie on the run, goes through hell in every possible way, even manages to shoot Anton in the leg, and still dies offscreen? My problem isn’t even the death itself—since from the beginning it’s clear he won’t escape—but not showing it feels more like a lazy choice than an actual narrative decision. As a viewer, I felt betrayed.
2 – The theme and the sheriff feel underused
The sheriff barely has any relevant role during the plot, and the theme of “time is passing and we’re getting old” feels just thrown in. The film didn’t manage to develop this in a way that tied together with the protagonist’s escape or with Anton.
3 – Anton is underexplored
This isn’t a huge issue and the movie works without it, but it would’ve been interesting to explore Anton’s past more, maybe his motivations for being the way he is. That would’ve added more depth to the character.
4 – No tractor scene in the supermarket
The tractor-in-the-supermarket scene was one of the only reasons I watched this movie, only to find out it was just a meme and doesn’t even exist. I fell for it. I don’t have words to describe my disappointment.
@Zwedon sorry man...

>1 – The protagonist’s death
That part is precisely engineered to convey that feeling you got, the movie is considered a ''neo-western'', it takes the pillar characters from western's like the good guy vs the bad guy (llewelyn vs anton) and twist's it to convey the main protagonist is more of an anti-hero, since he literally knew anton would go after his wife for staying with the money after their phone call. So, the death happens off-screen to represent that in real life, theres no saloon or high-noon prepared showdown between the antagonist and protagonist, you just die because of chances and sometimes with no dignity by your adversaries.
>2 – The theme and the sheriff feel underused
This represents that sometimes, the true good forces, like Bell are very powerless against evil and it's causer's showing that he's falling behind as a lawman and as a member of society, not keeping up with it's new state, hence the title NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN.
>3 – Anton is underexplored
Anton is supposed to be a mysterious character that thinks his own personal moral's are above everything else, hence that part where he bet's the gas station owner's life with the coin flip, he find's the fact the he married into it very undesirable and not according to what he thinks. The whole movie he think's he's an unstoppable force doing something good in his head, him getting into a car crash at the end completely break's his reality and show's that even himself is subject by the action's of other's.
