>tekken 1 is the first game in the series. You play as Kazuya and you have to defeat bunch of nophonos to get to heihachi. After BTFOing heihachi by spamming hell sweep because EWGN didn't get added until tekken 3 you win. Kazuya takes over mishima zaibatsu and throws heihachi off a cliff then camera closes up to him smiling like a faggot.
>there is also a cheat where you can unlock devil kazuya but only as a skin

**Tekken 2** (1995 arcade, 1996 PlayStation) picks up roughly two years after the first game. Kazuya Mishima has taken control of the Mishima Zaibatsu after defeating and throwing his father Heihachi off a cliff like a SLF. Under Kazuya’s rule the company becomes far more ruthless and criminal, engaging in illegal experiments, smuggling, and other dark activities. Rumors spread that Kazuya has made a pact with a Devil (later tied to the Devil Gene).

Kazuya hosts the second King of Iron Fist Tournament with a massively increased prize to eliminate threats. Heihachi, who survived the fall (this will be a recurring theme). Heihachi wins, throws Kazuya into an active volcano.

Key changes from Tekken 1
- Significantly larger and more detailed character models (roughly 800 polygons each versus the original’s lower count).
- Expanded roster and roughly double the number of moves and combos per character.
- New home-console modes: Team Battle, Survival, Time Attack, and Practice.
- Improved lighting, animations, and stage detail while keeping the infinite (wall-less) arena.

### Gameplay changes
The core four-button system (left/right punch and kick) remains, but the game adds or refines several important tools:

- **Sidestepping** (sway) — tapping up or down to move laterally and evade linear attacks, adding meaningful 3D movement.
- Back throws and chain throws for more throw options.
- Attack reversals for certain characters.
- Modified running tackles that deal more damage from greater distance.
- Improved juggle system and more fluid combo potential.

An arcade revision (Ver. B) followed quickly with balance adjustments: refined hitboxes, damage tuning, changes to block-stun recovery, and an improved juggle system. These hitbox and recovery tweaks made certain attacks more consistent or fairer and helped clean up awkward interactions from the original version.
Tekken 3 (1997 arcade / 1998 PlayStation)

The game everyone actually remembers.

The Story (a.k.a. Mishima Family shitflinging Session #3)
Fifteen to twenty years after Heihachi threw his own son into a volcano like a nigger, the he is back running the Mishima Zaibatsu and somehow still has the energy to host another tournament. Meanwhile a giant ancient Meximutt demon-god thing called Ogre (or True Ogre when it gets serious) starts murdering martial artists for their power o algo.

It kills Jun Kazama. (More on her later)

Her son Jin, who has been living a primalpilled forest life until this exact moment, discovers he is the grandson of the world’s most evil billionaire, inherits the Devil Gene, and decides the only logical response is to learn Mishima-style karate from the same grandfather who keeps trying to kill his bloodline.

Jin enters the tournament, beats True Ogre back to Guadalajara then gets betrayed by Heihachi because Heihachi is a kike. Jin survives because Bandai needed to make more games due to this being their only good game series.

Changes from Tekken 2
- Graphics that actually looked like people instead of polygons
- A proper time skip so the roster could change for once
- New main character
- Tekken Force mode, where you fight waves of niggers while drinking cool aid and eating fried chicken People still pretend this was good
- Way better music. The PS1 version’s soundtrack is still worshipped like religious text by soyboys

Gameplay
This is where the series became actually fun

Sidestepping was refined into something you had to actually do. Juggles became longer. The move lists exploded. Characters finally felt distinct instead of “guy who punches slightly differently.”

Hitboxes and frame data got cleaned up enough that the game stopped feeling like a coin-flip simulator half the time. Certain moves that were braindead in Tekken 2 got toned down, while new tools (especially Jin’s and Hwoarang’s) were loved by the community despite being unbalanced. Recovery frames and blockstun were tightened so the game felt snappier and more skill-based than its predecessors, evendoe modern players looking at the data will still leak about how floaty some of the old juggles were.

The PlayStation version also added the usual Namco pad friendly extras and became one of the best-selling and highest rated bone chilling, spine tingling a24 kino games on the system. For a solid chunk of the late 90s and early 2000s, if you said you played fighting games and didn’t have Tekken 3 hours logged, people looked at you like you’d just admitted you jacked off with sandpaper

TLDR: Tekken 3 is a A24 masterpiece. If you think otherwise you either started playing when tekken 8 came out or you're just retarded
