I have to say its one of the most unique war movies I have ever seen. There is nothing like it. It is so immersive. The movie at the beginning is so uncanny and seeing the german Focke-Wulf Fw 189 reconnaissance plane flying with its low humming at the beginning gives a feeling of something horrible to come.
The is one of the most realistic war movies ever made.

Also the fact that the movie uses real bullets and they actually kill a cow during the movie is so unique.

Also seeing the germans playing circus music while setting fire to the barn with all the civies inside is so surreal.
Its like its just a massive party for the germans.

Also when flyor is laying in the sand motionless and one the germans with a motorbike just kicks him, as to rub salt in the wound actually made me geg

And also the german reconnaissance plane appearing every once in while, makes it feel like metaphor for bad omen.
As if the protagonist is being watched like prey.
