ITT we sperg out and talk about beautifully manufactured firearms, Rifles, Guns, Shotguns and their variants.

To start the thread I think I have to mention the universally loved AK-47 and subsequentially the AK-74.
those 2 weapons of the same family have only 8-10 moving parts each, those being the essentials; Bolt, Bolt carrier, gas piston, the recoil spring, firing pin, trigger, hammer, disconnector, safety, and the magazine coil which isn't really an internal part but eh. (it is impressive knowing how the AR-15 has 20-30 moving parts)
the AK-47 is so easy (and cheap) to make that you can make it with almost 0 forging skills, the bare minimum equipment and 40 bucks to spare. (just don't be stupid like door cuck and make your bullets made of literal fucking candy... yes, he made them out of literal children's candy rocket fuel)

did I mention that the recoil spring stays inside the main body? how awesome is that? many rifles nowadays use so much space that manufacturers have to move the recoil spring further back completely taking space inside of the stock.. looking at you m16.. keep that to the shotguns.

The AK-47 weights 4.12 kg
while the AK-74 only weights 3.07 kg (2.97 kg with a foldable stock)
During hard times the USSR went from using milled steel to stamped metal, this move allowed them to produce millions of AK-47 annually, during the USSR's existence they made 75-100Million AK-47 rifles, that's enough AK-47s for every new Zealander to get 18.9 AK-47s. Sadly, only about 5 million soviet made AK-47s exist today.
