Has anyone noticed that companies, governments and orgs are pushing age verification worldwide now? This started happening around 2024 when 'blox was getting in hot water due to Ruben Sim and Schlep saying they're not banning paedophiles. I heard somewhere Gavin Newsom wants to put a 16+ age limit on social media, and enforce digital ID checks to enforce it. They're already doing this in the UK, and the EU wants to do these ID checks too.
Parents should be more responsible with their children, this rulecucking inconveniences adults who are now forced to give personal data to coorperations that sell it to God knows where. There is zero privacy left, nor freedom or competition. The internet is just so sterilised and soulless. Games and services want to suggest that you really don't own the games, and they can just remove the games and destroy the servers whenever they want to.
Youtube is going to say that adblockers are against the terms of service. They also removed so many videos because they're not advertiser friendly, people don't make stuff for creativity anymore, it's all about the money, money and money.
2b2t, the oldest anarchy server on Minecraft, got rulecucked and banned ALL cuss words and swastikas, because Microsoft wants to enforce safety online. Why? They're hosting it on their own servers? That should be a matter done by the server host. It's their private owned mean of production, it's actual pure niggerstone bullshit. There are actual smug redditor leftists, who think this is a good thing because they don't like to see the heccin unwholesome nword on the screen, as if that means anything.
I'm still kind of happy there are tiny pockets of the internet that allows some (functional form of) free speech, like the sharty, but jannies get leaky sometimes.

Publicly traded corporations have an obligation to their share holders to make money. They HAVE to make more money whenever possible. Since google is publicly traded, they are obviously going to be strict on ad blocking, since less people viewing ads -> less incentive for companies to advertise on google -> less income for google -> less money for share holders

Really the worst part about this is that der ‘blox is getting literal 5 year old children to send their face to unlock a basic feature. If it was adults doing it it’s their fault if their personal information ends up in a data breach, but these children do not understand the danger of what they are doing. Straight up evil shit.
