I can't feel any connection to God during liturgy in Orthodox churches no matter how I try. I only feel something in Catholic churches but I know I don't want to become Catholic because I don't agree with too many parts of their doctrine. I agree with tenets of Orthodoxy and I am firmly settled with this. When I'm in Orthodox churches though I feel like I'm slowly dying and seeing a hallucination. I don't know why, I try to pray, to listen to the priest but I only feel like I will faint no matter how much I try to make God's light reach me while in Catholic church it happens instantly. How do I try harder? I don't want to serve a denomination I don't agree with. I don't want to reject God. Please give me any advice

Partake in group prayers if you know some people from your church.

you can't force gods light to come to you give it time you most importantly find his light in yourself through his love and guidance maybe talk to your priest and don't stress over it you are seen you just don't feel it and you don't need tooI can't feel any connection to God during liturgy in Orthodox churches no matter how I try. I mean, I don't want you to go to other church if you believe that orthodoxy is right for you, but have you tried the priestly fraternity of Saint Peter? I can probably guess that your issues stem from the second Vatican council.. I'd say SSPX but they're excommunicated
