I don’t get the issue people have with other people with different sexual preferences

I don’t care if a person is gay or not as long as he or she does not harm me or anyone for that matter. Most of the hate towards the gays are of the result of the abrahamic religion which states that any forms of sodomy is punishable by stoning which sounds pretty barbaric to me.
