The term Person of Color (persona de color) originated in the Caribbean, and as it was used in Puerto Rico historically would not apply to me since it was used to describe Pardos (person of Black and Criollo descent) here rather than people of Hispano-Taíno descent, which were called Criollos here, but in the modern American sense it includes me, so I'll mark BIPOC
