TW: suicide, depression, self harm, dont read if you're sensitive!!!
Hello everyone, im assuming you read the title, and yes its true, I am a trans woman. I've struggled with gender dysmorphia, depression, etc since I was a child at this point, and I can't conceal my true self any longer, this is the real me.
You are all probably wondering why I would choose this site out of all of them to do this, and to answer the question, its mostly because I value the friends and community I've built over time here. I am aware of the rampant transphobia in this community, but I've found great solace in the few allies ive found here. All of the memories I made in the dmcords, and gemmy posts I made got a special place in my heart. I also want to thank the few geniuine ftm and mtf members of the trans community, as well as as few others for separate reasons. I am giving them the voice they need:
@Nabbv @mreps @Rubycon @custard @MoistPepper @___
If you want to know if I plan to change at all, besides my gender, I am the same person you've always known and will know. I am aware that the vast majority of you will now start to despise me after this, and I understand and hear most of your concerns and feelings about transgenderism and sexuality etc, but I dont feel like it gives any of you the excuse to bully and harrass trans people/ the trans community, especially to the point of suicide/self harm.
The main point I want everyone to understand is that I am still a 'jakker at heart like everyone else here, its just that some of my prefrences differ from the majority. I'm still just another user who wants to posts gems. Even if there is a lot of transphobia in this website, I have been around here for a long time, and I know those things are normalized here and are engrained in the everyday, and thus I have come to terms with them.
Talking more about the community, to be honest, joining the soysphere is what saved my life. I had way more internalized transphobia before coming here, and that led to self harm and a lot of ideation about taking my own life. When I found the sharty, I realized it was one of the only places only wher I could let my guard down and express my true feelings, and most importantly have a good laugh at myself and others.
Its been a long time coming, so thanks for the unexpected support of gotten from the soybooru and the broom. You probably wont even notice a difference, so just think of me as your friendly trans neighbor from now on! ^-^
