I don't care for politics but while I think nationalism is anti-human, it certainly beats monarchy or anarchy. Extrapolation of history shows that there will always be people who want what you've got, having a strong structure in place that prevents/discourages this kind of poaching from as large of a group as possible is very much needed. It's sad that people are on the whole unwilling to adopt something better. If we are going to split into nations, then it should be on ideology or beliefs(like the US) and not caveman tier stuff like ethnicity or shared language. Languages are another degenerate artifact of human civilization, I think we would be much better off if we could all mutually understand each other but that's another topic.
