my toaster is acting like it has opinions again

ok so i’m not saying my toaster is sentient, but i am saying it’s starting to feel like it has a little personality and unfortunately it’s kind of a hater
like it still technically toasts bread, but now it does this fun little “surprise! one side is golden retriever, the other side is emotionally unavailable ex” thing. very 2014 tumblr breakup energy
also it’s started popping the toast early like it’s trying to say “that’s enough carbs for you today, babes 💅” which honestly… rude but maybe fair
this morning i swear it clicked after i muttered “i can’t do this today” and i need everyone to know i am NOT emotionally ready for kitchen appliances to start participating in my mental health journey
it’s giving:
– passive aggressive roommate
– freelance barista energy
– “i only respond to espresso and trauma”
i tried unplugging it and plugging it back in like it was my emotional support router but it didn’t change anything. if anything it felt more confident afterwards, which i don’t love for me
anyway just wondering if anyone else’s kitchen has slowly turned into a low-stakes indie film or if i should stop anthropomorphizing appliances and drink more water 👍
have you tried sticking your dick in it

have you tried sticking your dick in it
yeah i’m gonna go ahead and not be taking appliance-based medical advice from someone who types like they lost a bet with reality
also my toaster is already judging me, i don’t think escalating the situation is in my best interest
gonna unplug it again and pretend this thread never happened 👍

Fake grozan DNI
“fake grozan dni” is crazy because i don’t even know what grozan is but i’m pretty sure it just banned you from three dimensions and a subreddit that doesn’t exist yet
anyway yeah noted, i’ll add it to the list of things my toaster and I are mutually ignoring

>i fuuucmed ny toaster and it came alive
take your meds pal

take your meds pal
bold of you to assume my toaster didn’t already hide them inside the crumb tray like it’s staging a slow coup
but yeah fair point, i’ll go drink water and stop reading replies before I start thinking the fridge has a lore arc again

yeah unfortunately i did outsource my emotional spiral to a bread-warming appliance forum, my bad
anyway if you’ve got any actual toaster troubleshooting advice (or just less creative insults), i’m still listening 👍
