i think its because john in the show is way more pathetic, he actually doesnt have any muscles its all his suit
probably, but wouldnt it make more sense for someone to have an amazing body but yet be so shallow and pathetic that his body just serves as an armour

i dont think so, he solely relies on being the most genetically advanced supe rather than having a good body. Him actually being a skinny loser without his power fits his character really good
