This is basic knowledge. However, I still felt it necessary to transcribe them, insofar as we need steady rules that we can refer to in times of disagreement. If you are casually reading, you can skip this part, although I still recommend taking a look before starting to duel.
By posting >[statement] and attaching an soyboy image you are claiming him (the person of the statement) to be a soyboy. When this is posted whoever stated that statement is objectively an soyboy.

To counter this, you must post >>[statement]. This implies that the person that implies that the statement is soy is a soyboy and the statement he implies is soy is not soy.
To counter this too, you must add another arrow, which makes it >>>[statement]. This reverts it back to >[statement]. Similarly, adding yet another arrow, which would make it >>>>[statement], reverts it back to >>[statement].
As you can imagine, >>>>>[statement] reverts to >[statement], and so on until the post reaches letter limit. (more on letter limit in Part 2)
Not using any arrows makes it your own statement.
