The more technology get modern the more the old ones become more useful till they become completely useless.
>Example 1
Anti-tank rifles, they been completely useless after WW1 as you need 200 round to destroy the weakest WW2 tank.
But in the 21 century they became so useful in the 3rd world to counter backup trucks, 1 HEI round can paralyzes or even destroy a backup truck with HMG.
The same goes for Anti-Air craft HMG
They are useful against drones and proven to be better and much cheaper than alternatives

In 1983 internet forums where the best method, and till 2005 there was tens of thousands of them, but when social media appears they declined so hard that 90% of the forms died.
But now they are getting revived, whether it's because of the censorship or AI take over in social media and they are increasing in number.
I don't know what to call this phenomenon but it's real
