I used to travel to other countries with my grandparents when I was a kid so they pretty much handled everything for me. As an adult I'd like to travel again but I don't know how to manage all these things as I have no experience with it.

I prefer to fly JAL or KLM depending on if I am going East or West. If you are not unattractive, have some cash, and can talk to people, just find a girl at a bar and go home with her. Everyone is looking for someone new, especially from a new place, and you can easily drop into someone's life. Alternatively travel with someone. I find traveling with friends to almost always suck. Traveling with a (practice) girlfriend is pretty good most of the time, just make sure you have gone somewhere first.
To be honest, just use Google Flights or Kayak, and use Hotels.com for bookings. It is not that hard.
t. I fly probably 150-200k miles a year.

If it is a group there is always somebody who gets too drunk, complains about spending money, cannot handle themself, or just bitches or dislikes the place in general. If it's solo you just look like a faggot. Moreover, there is only so much to do with a group of guy friends in say, Paris, or Tokyo, that goes beyond going to a strip club and an arcade. It just depends on where you are going. If it is nature, hiking, fishing, shooting? It's fun for the bros. If you want to go to a new city and sit in cafes, walk through museums, and live a different life, I'd rather do that in the embrace of a lover than that of a friend. Different strokes for different folks.
Plus a lot of cities just have a lot of date stuff. Unless it is like a shithole or real adventure tourism, then I would take a friend. It just depends on the trip. But groups of guys (or guys and girls) almost inevitably have one bitch.

>Which airline do you travel with?
It depends on who you bought the tickets from, you should always buy tickets online and pretty far in advance for cheap prices. You can use google travel to consolidate all the information from various airlines by putting which date you want to leave and which date you want to get back.
>What do you bring with you?
99% of airlines give you one carry on at least. It's basically whatever you can fit underneath the airline seat or in the overhead compartment. There is sometimes exact sizings on how big your carry-on can be but for the most part just be reasonable its pretty much what you can fit in a backpack. You can also bring an additional suitcase but they charge you for that, not really worth unless you want to bring back a lot of stuff or you are going to be out for a long time.
<packing space
You want to pack a toothbrush, whatever you use for shampoo, medicine you might use, just whatever you use in your morning routine. ALWAYS bring a pair of underwear and socks for each day you'll be gone unless the place you are staying at has a washing machine which saves you a lot of space on clothes. Depending on the weather of the place I usually 3 pairs of pants 3 pairs of t-shirts and a light hoodie and then a heavy jacket (Waterproof optional again depends on where you are going). The 3 pants 3 shirts setup works most of the time for about a week since using the same shirt isn't that nasty as long as you are changing out ur underwear and socks. If you are staying anymore than a week make sure you get a place that has a washing machine. Roll ur clothes up in small tubes to save the most space (Look it up on google the first image is probably what I mean). Make sure to bring some good-walking shoes.
<cash space
If ur traveling in a shithole bring lots of physical cash you can exchange for their shithole currency (Very few places don't have atms unless you are going to the congo or something). If you are traveling in any modern place ur cards should be fine just remember when you get there to withdraw some cash in their currency since a lot of cool stuff like getting street vendor food do requires physical cash and not ever place takes card.
>How do you manage food and shelter?
Shelter you HAVE to plan in advance before you even get the tickets if you don't want to stay in a hotel chain and be closer to the city living in someone's house is usually the best. (I recommend AirBnB). Food is pretty easy to figure out, you either walk the city looking for places that look good or just use ur phone and look at places with high reviews or Yelp recommended by celebrities. I'm a spoiled faggot so I look for places with a Michelin star everytime just to try their food just once but if you are traveling by yourself its kinda sad to be alone in a rich restaurant. As for how you travel in-between places it will do you well to figure out how the locals get around there, if its a big city chances are they all use some bus or tram station so figure out what you need to access these services. (For example in Japan you have to get some metrocard that everyone their uses but it takes a while to register so you should do it in advance, but in places like Portugal everyone uses trams in major cities that you just pay for in-cash upfront)
>What to do once you get there? How long do you stay?
I pretty much only travel for food and to buy stuff so I'm just looking for highly rated restaurants and clothes I can only find at the place I'm at. I also occasionally check out a museum since almost every major city in the first world has one and I like art. I'd say if you want the best of the best a city can offer around 5-7 days is the sweet spot, maybe 3 if its a smaller place. TLDR: You'll find shit to do if you are walking around just pay attention to where crowds of people are walking out of, where tour guides might be, or just asking your waiters at a restaurant.
