I am not okay

I believe many of you are aware of my complicated medical condition regarding my heart. However, I think it’s important for me to be open about my health status to clear up any doubts and keep you updated on my condition.
I have a condition called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, which runs in my family. It causes certain muscles in the heart to have an abnormal spacing, making it difficult for the heart to pump blood effectively. Normally, people with this condition only experience temporary pain, especially after major stress or physical exertion, but in my case, it’s much worse. A week ago, I suffered a heart attack while working, and it came very close to actually killing me. I had to spend the last few days hospitalized, completely unable to get out of bed.
I’ve essentially lived my whole life with a ticking time bomb in my chest, and I never even paid attention to it until now — and I’m paying the price. I was discharged from the hospital last night, and I’m doing well at home. I’m with my family, and I’m okay. I’m taking medication to control my heart condition and being careful. I still feel some pain and discomfort, but it has decreased thanks to the medication.
The doctor informed me that in four weeks, I will need to undergo a septal myectomy, which is an invasive surgery where he removes part of the thickened heart muscle to improve blood flow. The problem is that the mortality rate for this surgery can be as high as 10%. That’s something that worries me greatly. I’ve been going through very difficult times lately, and now that I’m unable to work, I feel this weight on me only growing heavier. This was the first time I’ve ever been hospitalized, and it will be the first time I undergo surgery.
I ask that you please pray for me and wish me luck. I truly hope nothing goes wrong and that I can come back here and tell you how it went.
As for the Balatro mod, I’m sorry to the two people who were eagerly waiting, but I believe I’ll be taking a break for a while from posts and more elaborate artwork. For now, I want to spend time with my family and get my life in order. I hope you understand.
