is it worth playing ive had a close friend of mine tell me about the game

i mean it's a cool and fun game it just takes an extremely long time to learn

How does one ever get the time to learn to be good in games like HOI4? it's fun to watch joootoobers play it and do some larp but i tried playing something similar on a phono and it felt like a lobotomy trying to win, I remember playing Italy, invading france, and then getting fucked by a US tank division, accidentally playing like IRL Italy

My advice is just play minor powers and try to support majors in your first playthroughs.
Truth is that all paradox games become more bloated as time goes on due to DLC mechanics so it becomes increasingly harder to get good at them.
There really are no resources to understand how to design good divisions or planes/tanks other than just going online and checking. God forbid trying to build a nuke as a new player with all the special project bullshit.

i think i've encircled like 50 divs in total
ukraine is getting stomped unfortunately

damn, this might actually be one of the easiest wars i've fought in this mod ever
i'm stomping them despite them having way more divs and manpower and industry

it's starting to become a little harder but it's mid-1939 now which is right in time for russia to have to fight a two front war
