just looked 5th post is spadeson why is it like that?Show quoted text
I have no idea. I hang around /qa/ and the irc and the people there actually like this place so I don't see much of these people anymore.
When I used pol, it would probably cap out at about 5% of posters
Soy seems to be engulfed in these people now hoever. It's crawling with hostile users
Spadeson is sharty culture though, it's just taken way more literally now which is fucking WEIRD

When they opened soy2 and everyone moved to it, low tier baiting dissapeared entirely.
I think opening soy2 up sometimes could work, maybe just closing soy for a day, who knows.

4chan is mossad honeypot, altchans are DNB's, some have specific interests like zellig party and maybe lainchan.
It's probably why the sharty is so popular
I could talk alot about why soyjak dot party is so great but I'll do that another time :)

Any interest that becomes boring with increased repition is almost never worth getting into.
<-->
There has to be some kind of benefit or some kind of goal for something to be worth your time and effort, which makes creative pursuits and things that make your life better (i.e it generates money for your bank account) are distinct from this rule.
You play a video game for 10 years straight, and at the end, all you have to say about it is how much the game sucks (thinking about reviews I've seen on steam in relation to certain MMO's).
<--
Alcohol is 'great' for maybe 3 months before you realise how addictive it is and BOOM now you have a tolerance and have to drink more and spend more money going to different places to drink alcohol (that is, if you drink socially).
<--
'Everything in moderation' is key here. I can watch mlp endlessly but only if I restrict how much I watch daily. Watching an episode after work or on break is great for soothing my nerves but binging the series will only make me grow tired of the show and I won't watch it for weeks/months at a time. So spreading this interest out promotes infinite longevity and creates an endless cycle of re-emerging novelty.
<--
You go on holiday to the same place 5 times you will probably feel like you wasted your money going there. Not only does obsession ruin something good but it tarnishes the memories.
<--
This ties into nostalgia aswell. People who stick around decaying sites because they obsessed over them for years and it's 'all they know' so now they must continuously destroy themselves to find some kind of enjoyment in it.
<--
Maturing is pretty busy process, full of all sorts of different vectors but one major part of maturity is letting go of the things you loved as a kid/teenager. you're allowed to play video games all day as a kid, but this interest will always be short lived, and it's up to you to focus on stuff that interests you that is also fulfilling to you.

Find your creative outlet, lock in on that project/s you thought of one time you weren't busy, go out and discover the type of execise that excites you the most.
Life isn't just work and pleasure, living like this will only drive you to insanity or an early grave. Godspeed

But some hobbies are low/nocost.
Having a physical activity hobby is usually low/nocost, like my gym member ship isnt even 40 dollars a month
Drawing is basically free, you get a stack of printer paper and some pencils and you're set
