October 11th, 2025: Today’s the day of our hike, I woke up at 8:00am to have breakfast and cereal. I brewed myself some coffee before getting dressed in scouting gear and packing my lunch to head over to the Catholic center. I got there at 9:35pm just as they were ending mass, Cliffe came out with his parents and I talked to them and met them. Cliffe invited me to go feed the homeless but I told him I’m already going on a hike. I went in and this guy was serving fancy coffee, Kristine and Gabriella got some while I ordered a latte with 2 shots of white chocolate flavoring. I drank it and then this Black single mother came with her 2 year old son. I ended up in Father Aquinas’ car. There were 6 other people there including the priest. We got into the car at 10:30am, the priest made me sit in the front because I was the tallest. He started playing a podcast by Father Tim Dexter. One of the people in the car was this guy who I would be calling Nash and his friend who was drawing. We had to stop for a seatbelt issue but that got fixed. On the podcast, they mentioned a bunch of things, Pier Giorgio Frassati was born in 1901 with an atheist dad and a lukewarm, he was rich and helped the poor but opposed Benito Mussolini. He died on July 24th, 1925 after contracting polio from a poor person he was helping, thousands attended his funeral. Mussolini interfered in the canonization process of Frassati, pressuring the clergy, bishops, and even cardinals to accept lies about him being an adulterer. There are a lot of photos of Frassati including of him dying, and there was his visitation of the sick on Friday as an extra penance. Nash’s friend was doing the 5 minute draw challenge. Then Father Timothy Dexter on the podcast talked about his seminary buddy Brian Welch, who went from being a party animal in seminary but then changed. He was in Cambodia when they announced the retreat but kept going to church until Communists found out his route to church and executed him then. We passed by Singh gas at 10:39am, a yard sale of USA flag merchandise celebrating the 250 years of the United States in 2026 at 11:11am, and arrived at 11:15am. We were the only car ride to complete it. I got off and we waited for the others while I took this picture of the Basilica:

We brought a wooden cross to carry and I did it with someone else for a while until we got to the 1st station of the cross. The priest told us the story about how the localized stations of the cross. People were desperate to choose who got to be a cross carrier. We made our way up to the Basilica. I remember seeing the dormitories that had to be at least 6 stories high but looked and then went into the lower chapel with all the stained glass windows of scenes of Saint Therese of Liseux’s life. I went up the tower after waiting in line and took these pictures:

It was kind of rickety going up with Magdalus and the others. but I got down and joined Gabriella and her 2 friends eating lunch. I was cutting the truffle cheese and offered some for the three and they actually liked it. I brought 2 small packs of crackers and finished one while one of Gabriella’s friends talked about not being over her ex-boyfriend and clearly not realizing it. I went back and then went into the main chapel and also saw their replica of the shroud of Turin:

I went out to the concrete patio where the others were waiting, I got some pumpkin seeds from Father Aquinas, I went down to the gift store because they had the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible 2nd edition, I was almost out of time and I went back up the outdoor stairs. We got there and had to introduce the person to the left. In the middle of it this guy the priest called Doctor Ludwig the organist stopped by to say hi to our group. We left at 2:15pm and we drove back while listening to some of Father Aquinas’ music playlist, when the priest called a friend of his by the name of Tom K as a tradition. One noticeable thing was about Tom K. The first thing Tom mentioned was about falling in love while married and that you fall in love 3 times in your life, I’m on the second so far. Tom K has been married for 10 years and then there was a discussion about your wife knowing if you pick your nose or not. We got back at 3:45pm and I got out and walked home. I drank some soda and played more Team Fortress 2 for the rest of the day when I saw Macie’s Snapchat story about her car getting damaged:
>What happened?
<Got rear ended on the highway
<I took the least amount of damage
>Did you catch them?
<Barely avoided hitting the car in front of me
<Ot wasnt the fault of the guy who hit me
<It was a chain reaction of someone getting cut off
>Ohh, did they catch the chain reaction starter?
<Nope
<They took off immediately
<Didn't even stay to see the crashes happen
<There was a set of three that happened behind me that i wasnt involved it
>Is the damage not that costly hopefully?
<No
<All cosmetic it seems
<My dad was able to get the bumper back in
<So its now just the dents on the bottom and some scratches
<Which is really not bad
>Like a paint job?
<If i really care that much
<Honestly, im going to try and give it a good scrub to get the white off from the car that hit me, then see what's left and if its worth getting it painted
Dinner for me was ramen noodles with the last of the cabbage and 2 eggs. I took an image and posted it to Kiwifarms.

I then took a shower and went to sleep.

October 12th, 2025: The Lord’s day today. I woke up at 6:25am and made myself cereal but not coffee before getting dressed in my Ralph Lauren white button-down and a suit jacket, I brushed my teeth and almost missed the bus at 6:48am I got on and waited to get down to the church and then entered at 7:25am when it wasn’t as crowded. I sat down near the middle but then I saw the old priest go into the confessional. There was a mom and her daughter in front of me and an older guy, the older guy asked me:
“Are you an altar boy?”
I answered:
“No.”
He then told me:
“Well altar boys go first.”
I waited in line until I got a short confession from the older priest and had to say 3 prayers as penance. Mass went through as normal and the woman I thought to be Asherah’s sister was there. The priest read the homily and when I went up for communion, I decided to let it dissolve in my mouth instead of chewing on it. It’s not a sin to chew on the Eucharist but I felt like changing things up. I went out and then walked over to the bus for my second mass of the day. I got off and in at 10:15am with Gabriella, Magdalus, and Kristine all there. I told Kristine about going to mass 3 times today and she told me I should just go once a day and sit in silent prayer. I asked to do the reading for today: 2 Kings 5:14-17
☛14 So Naaman went down and plunged into the Jordan seven times, according to the word of the man of God. His flesh became again like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.
☛15 He returned with his whole retinue to the man of God. On his arrival he stood before him and said, “Now I know that there is no God in all the earth, except in Israel. Please accept a gift from your servant.”
☛16 Elisha replied, “As the Lord lives whom I serve, I will not take it.” And despite Naaman’s urging, he still refused.
☛17 Naaman said: “If you will not accept, please let me, your servant, have two mule-loads of earth, for your servant will no longer make burnt offerings or sacrifices to any other god except the Lord.
and was allowed to while I enrolled Markus in doing the second reading. Onyx came in and near the start of the mass, Zephyr came in and I got super panicked but kept it to myself. I did the reading and then went back. During the
sign of peace I wasn’t waived to by Zephyr. When I went up to receive communion, I kneeled down to receive it on the tongue and the priest dipped it in the Blood of Christ (wine) and then gave it to me. Once mass was done I went out. I was near the front of the line for breakfast, I said hi to Henry, Zephyr, Markus, and Onyx before allowing Zephyr to go in front of me. I got some scrambled eggs, sausages, a bagel and coffee to go with. Nash helped me get a bagel and I went outside with Mahdi joining us at the table. We all talked for a while but I noticed that nobody ever talked to me directly or asked me a question. I saw Zephyr looking at Markus excitedly. The topic then went to Asherah unfortunately, Markus mentioned being in an honors class with her and that she loves talking about Greek mythology, I added onto that by talking about the story with my boomer Greek mythology teacher taking points but Jared and Henry tried interrupting me, I almost shouted at them:
“Please stop interrupting me!”
But I didn’t, I realized that these people think of me as inferior, this felt like a YouTube video from a redpill “content” creator with me being an example of the beta male, or perhaps even the dreaded omega male. I left shortly after Zephyr left and walked home feeling empty. I got back and played Team Fortress 2. My dad’s side of the family was all celebrating Thing Alpha being in the Chicago marathon today but I didn’t really speak in that groupchat. I went to do my laundry and I bought a soda when I found out my checking account was somehow overdrafted by a dollar. I corrected that and bought the soda. I saw there was a giant filter on the bottom of the dryer through the mesh covered in lint, I couldn’t reach it. I texted Joseph that I couldn’t go to mass because of homework I had to do. I got back after being harassed by a Black man for money. I watched this 17 minutes and 50 seconds long video by St. Nectarios Orthodox Church in Lakeland, Florida which was a sermon by Father Demetri Glimidakis warning about viewing others as NPCs and the mass dehumanization of others and alienation of ourselves in society. I folded some clothes and put the rest on my bed. I browsed Snapchat and the Green Bay girl posted this on her story:
<I went to church this morning and this guy sitting behind me complimented my nose ring, as I go to say "thank you" I look down and there he is with what appears to be a wedding ring
<AND he was by himself
<Sir why are you complimenting something about my appearance if you have a spouse, especially in front of god. Here I was thinking I found my future husband. But no. He was a fraud
<I am open to the possibility he could be not straight or a widow
I told her:
>Seinfeld talks about this.
James came back today and I got in trouble with him for leaving the bathroom door closed when not in use. I made mashed potatoes and french green beans for dinner while drinking some white wine. I took a shower and didn’t complete my exam, but I had steamed milk with imitation vanilla added.

October 13th, 2025: Monday today. I woke up early and got dressed for my job. I didn’t have coffee because I wanted to limit myself to one cup of coffee today. I finished off my cereal and posted on the Shiwi about @Warrior-Z e-dating this girl on Twitter. I got on the bus, the guy who I thought was blind for a while got on with his entire beard shaved. I got off at my stop then walked in to wait for Seth M to unlock my office. I brewed the coffee for the team. I only got into my office at 8:36am to clock in a minute later. There was a lot of different bread in the kitchen for the staff so I had one. When I went to the meeting room. I was told by Harmony C to sit at the table instead of off to the side like the interns, I did that and ended up in between Portia and Lillehammer. I waited a bit and thought that the CEO wouldn’t be here but he was and this is what his speech was:
“Oh, yeah, I get that. I got that silly cardiac rehab starting all over again, which is good. Uhh So, first they were in there and they did all the measurements and everything looked good. It's just that I'm all tuckered out because they said: ‘You should do more.’ You guys are doing great. I really appreciate all the work you guys are doing. It shows up almost every day and emails, communications back to me, that kind of thing, so, you know, keep up the good work there. As far as updates go, we're pretty much set with what we're doing with our funds. Uhm I'd like us to continue to explore FFS I'll be talking to the board this week about some ideas that I have, and to hear their ideas so cool we could possibly do that thing. The bottom line for the update on that from the community is that they're still desiring to find out what the government gaps are so that they could try to fill those gaps. So the best way to find out what those gaps are is to actually look at the work that everybody's doing here. And if you see a need for a client that is not being fulfilled, just bring it up to your supervisor and then it'll bubble up to me. I think it's the best way to take a look at it. What else can we do for our clients is the question you should be asking yourself, you do your work. But short of that, just make sure you do the work the best you can. within the limits of your scope services and whatnot. I think the most important thing there is to keep in mind that that's our best way to actually counter the negativity that's going on in DC, the best way to do it is to just do our work. Don't get me wrong, I can't tell you if you should do more than that in protest with that, but I found over the years being a native Alaskan, this is like history repeating it, so to me, except now it's at a nationwide level, not a travel level. Is actions really make a difference. They say a lot more, people will notice that, and people notice you from afar, you don't even know who you're testing with your actions, so just make sure you do that. Before I turn it over to the directors or any questions, globally, did anybody has? Don't be afraid to speak up, because if you have a question, most likely somebody else has it. No? Okay, so in December, probably the ninth, myself, and maybe somebody else here will go with me to DC for [5 letter acronym], the topics there, how are you going to rebuild things? So they're already talking about how we're going to rebuild things. Because once there's a change in administration, we've got to start building. So now's the time to plan those things in DC. It usually takes about two years for a plan to come together. So we're going to be part of that by us attending that. I might ask a board member to go along with me as well. I'll ask them if it's interested that our board meeting are full board meetings annually, I think it's our annual board meeting. So I want to get any questions, so. I'm going. Zach A do you want to start?”
We went around and I got my mini speech in but I forgot to mention the voicemail reset thing. We got done after that and I went to talk with Harmony C about getting new IDs for some interns. I went to print out one and then I was told by Seth M about the computer distribution, but I had to leave at 10:35am to get to classes. I narrowly missed the bus to campus and then rode it all the way over. I got in early though and decided to get coffee. While I was waiting in line, I saw Zephyr come over with 3 boxes of gallons of milk to give to the coffee place, I waved to her and she waved back. I got my coffee and then walked into the lecture hall early to hear more about the art world of ancient Greece. He mentioned the exam that was due tonight by midnight and the thing was that he already gave us the 2 essay questions that would be in it. I then walked over to my next class, the discussion and I accidentally got my leather jacket caught on this screw sticking out of a pole and it damaged my mom’s leather jacket. I got in and decided to text some of my friends to ask them to this event, I did so with Markus (no response), Mahdi (he agreed), Mercurius (he agreed and asked if we should wear costumes), and Reuben (he said he couldn’t make it). I sat with the girl with hair dyed a while ago and we discussed images of Greek gods. I left at 1:20pm to catch the bus at 1:30am. I took it to work and got in at 1:55pm. My task list for today was getting asked to grab computers and relabel them and assign them to interns with no idea what the new name for some of them were. I was getting stressed but I went to the employees to ask for their old ones back, including Tia’s, but she was talking to Staples for a while. I finally got it back and got the CEO’s voicemail reset and that was it. I had to move my jacket off the seat next to me because an intern would be there. I got some more bread before departing at 4:00pm, a black single mom and her kid sat next to me on the bus. I got home and made green beans and potatoes for dinner, I finally got to working on my exam and here’s what I wrote that I put in.
>Both the Stele of Naram-Sin (c. 2254 BC - c. 2218 BC) and the Palette of Narmer (c. 3000 BC - c. 2920 BC, 1st Dynasty Egypt) use scale and placement hierarchy to convey messages of divine kingship and authority. The Stele of Naram-Sin is a 2 meter tall stone carving depicting the Akkadian king with his troops proclaiming victory over the Lullubi in battle, the Akkadian including Naram-Sin are looking up to the heavens and bowing on top of the others in the stele is Naram-Sin depicted as being larger than the others to signify his importance in leading his troops to victory and his heightened favor with the Akkadian gods. Additionally Naram-Sin is wearing a helmet only worn by the gods themselves. The Narmer Palette is a stone engraving depicting the Pharaoh Narmer uniting the Upper (recto) and Lower (verso) kingdoms of Egypt, on both sides, Narmer is the largest human figure depicted but his appearance only varies in what crown of Egypt he is wearing. His position in the center on the recto side is chosen to represent his importance. The distinction in size is to represent his bigger role in Egyptian history as the first person ever to unite the two Egyptian kingdoms into one.
>The contrast between vases from the Geometric period to the Archaic period exemplifies the transition from abstraction to realism. The Dipylon Amphora (c. 750 BC, Geometric) and “Ajax and Achilles Playing Dice” by the sculptor Exekias (c. 540 BC, Archaic) exemplify this shift the sreal womangest. The Dipylon Amphora was a funerary marker that represents the older Geometric style, where artists used lots of patterns. Humans were represented as combinations of shapes and repeated. The use of slip and firing created a simple effect of black figures against the brown color of the pottery. The art is flat, symmetrical, and repetitive to convey order and significance. This technique limited the artist’s ability to depict motion or emotion, resulting in highly stylized and abstract human forms. The Archaic period, the black-figure technique, as seen in the work of Exekias (fl. 550 BC - 525 BC) known as “Ajax and Achilles Playing Dice.” The addition of realism allowed for a fuller narrative. Artists painted figures in a glossy black slip on the brown clay surface, then cut fine details into the black areas with a sharp tool to reveal the brown color beneath and enable painting with red or white (why not blue or green?) It enabled more complex pieces. Exekias used the technique to create the moment between two buddies, with the heroes’ poised gestures and attentive gazes communicating emotion never seen before. The progression from the Dipylon Amphora to the refined storytelling of Exekias’ “Ajax and Achilles Playing Dice.” illustrates how advancements in technique transformed the Greek vase painting scene into a medium capable of sophisticated storytelling for all people, past, present, and future, to see.
I completed the 3 hour thing in 55 minutes. I ate more ice cream. I saw James in his room reading the Bible before bed. I took a shower, and went to sleep.

This is probably a dumb question but why are the dates octoberOctober 13th, 2025: Monday today.
